Exciting news with this update we have a new pro-optics converter for our members only. It allows you to find a substitute class for molding purposes. You can then compare your design with the new glass and check if molding technologies would be an option for your design if you change the glass. You can access the new converter after logging in, in the top menu bar:
We also changed the way we handle designs, with a clearaperture to centerthickness ratio bigger than 30. So far, we just displayed can’t fabricate. In the new version, a warning will be displayed and PanDao will try to fabricate the design with the technologies available for such high ratios. Please be aware that this may result in very high fabrication cost because only a few technologies can handle this ratio and the others are sorted out.
We also added a cost increase for spheres if the surface radius is close to the clearaperture because this makes It hard to polish the lens a fabrication will be slower.
