PanDao Update 1.2.28

Today we have another small update for you.

First we updated our internal material database, mainly for Schott, Ohara and CDGM glasses and some fused silica glasses from Sumita.

Secondly, we renamed the “disable PEA puffer” option to “Allow Pea puffer” to make it consistent with the other options.

Next we added a new warning: “Please consider specifying at least one centering tolerance 4/” if on both sides no decenter is specified. We also now allow the clear aperture to have a rectangular shape for flat surfaces. You can choose the “Clear Aperture Shape” now. If Rectangular is chosen, you need to input the width and length of the clear aperture.

Rectangular clear aperture select and the two fields to enter the values for the clear apertures.

For easier generation of a lifecycle analysis of your product, we also added the total number of lenses to the generated CSV summary.

Another new warning is generated if cementing is not possible, cause of a too thin cementing layer thickness. This warning will tell you what the minimal needed layer thickness is, depending on the temperature range and the two involved materials.

We also fixed a bug where it was not possible to input a number starting with a dot, for example .01 when already a number was selected.

We also show now the current PanDao version in the header bar. When you click on it, you will get to our blog where you can find all the change notes.

And lastly, we changed the way PanDao calculates the additional cost for the center thickness tolerance.

Thanks a lot to our amazing customers for helping us to make PanDao better with every update. Please keep the feedbacks coming. We are listening.
