Many of you requested a currency conversion for PanDao. We finaly implemented it.
First select the currency in which you want to have the inputs and outputs. This will also influence the currency symbol (€, $, etc.) Next select the conversion method. In custom mode you can enter the exchange rate from EUR to your selected currency yourself. In default mode PanDao will take the exchange rates from: https://frankfurter.dev/
Please note that the input values also change the currency. For example, if you select CHF as currency you also need to enter the material cost per volume in CHF. They will not automatically change if you entered a value before changing the currency. Next we changed the way you can save your lens. As it led to some confusion, we removed the possibility to download a lens as JSON as all needed data is also contained in the report. So we combined these buttons:
You are still able to load JSON files which have been generated with an older version or if they are generated with some optic design tool.
We also added a button to download a one-pager. This includes only the very important information.
In addition, we also changed the way PanDao handles the cost calculation of very flat facets (height < 1mm)
We also did some bug fixes with inputting/loading data, where it was sometimes necessary to click twice for a value to be set.
