PanDao update 1.2.5

We released another update for the PanDao Tool today. The update includes some features and bug fixes.

The first new feature is that PanDao now supports rod lenses. For them, a new parameter was added:

If your optical design has an outer cylinder length, which is bigger than your lens diameter, please set activate the checkbox. If you load an older lens, this option is automatically deactivated and the request will process as before.

Another new feature is that we added the company name to the user tab:

This prepares PanDao for the next release where we will introduce a new feature, where it will be possible to provide PanDao with a list of your company’s fabrication technologies to further sharpen PanDao’s output. Stay tuned!

For bug fixes we corrected a bug where a request was still possible even if no applicability or Level of Maturity was selected. Another bug we fixed was that in some rare cases, an ignored OFTT was still used in the calculation. Also, some typos were corrected.

We also want to use this opportunity to announce that PanDao is now included in the new edition of the standard work on optical technologies that has been published this month.
