Today an update to the PanDao tool was released.
The user interface is now clearer and more structured for the daily work.
In addition, its now possible to enter materials by supplier name. The parameters knoop hardness, acid resistance and ‘material suited for precision glass molding‘ are now automatically set.
If the material is not available, a custom input is still available.
We also added a few new parameters.
PanDao is now able to calculate the cost of facets. For that, an additional input of the length and height for each step and each side is needed:
The new parameter ‘none circular circumference’ is used to calculate the additional manufacturing cost for an non-circular outer form of the lens:
The new parameter to specify the decenter of aspherical lenses. In addition to decenter tilt and according to ISO10110 please specify the decenter side shift:
The FAQ collection turned into a Manual how to use PanDao and set the input parameters. This resulted into its renaming to Manual. All new parameters are also described in more details there.
If cookies are active, the last request which has been made is now displayed when logging into PanDao – without using any requests of course.
As with every update, we also adjusted our fabrication technologies to match the current state of the market.
We also corrected some bugs where the ignore list was not cleared completely when pressing the “clear all parameter” button and an error which prevented the loading of lenses copied out of the downloadable report.
